Originally from Pakistan, where he trained at the Nishtar Medical College at Multan in the Punjab, Bilal has been a dentist for 23 years with an interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Bilal lives in Kinross, and is married with three daughters. His main interest outside of work is travelling.

Chris qualified ten years ago from the University of Glasgow although he was born and brought up in Dundee. He lives in Broughty Ferry and works at First Alba Healthcare’s Downfield Practice. He is interested in minimally invasive restoration of teeth, using white fillings and ceramics to preserve as much of the natural tooth as possible. He also enjoys providing root canal treatment, and is planning to further develop this skill to tackle more challenging cases in future. Chris has a young family that take up most of his time, including to coach at Dundee Eagles Rugby Club for his son’s age group. He enjoys walking his black labrador, Benji, and when he can find the time, fly fishing.

Co-owner and Clinical Director of First Alba Healthcare, Ewa was born and educated in Poznan in Poland, studying dentistry at the Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin. She then went on to take a PhD in paediatric dentistry. She worked in Poland for several years before moving to United Kingdom, initially in Nottingham and then to Dundee, where she and her husband (Rami Sarraf) opened the first of their five practices in 2009. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and laser treatments. Her interests outside work include collecting scarves, pilates and running.

Co-owner and Clinical Director of First Alba Healthcare, Rami was born in Poland to a Polish mother and Syrian father. Moving to Damascus as a child he was brought up speaking Arabic, returning to Poland at the end of Communism to study the Polish language at the Jagillonian Uniwersyti in Krakow. He went on to study dentistry at the Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin, qualifying in 1999. He worked in Poland for several years before moving to the United Kingdom, initially in Nottingham and then to Dundee, where he and his wife (Ewa Plea-Sarraf) opened the first of their five practices in 2009. He has a special interest in promoting good oral hygiene (periodontology) as the bedrock of successful dental treatments. His interests outside of work are ’80’s and ’90’s rock music and Scottish country sports.

Qais qualified as a dentist in Iraq at the University of Baghdad in 1994, followed by a masters degree (MSc) in Oral Pathology at the same university in 2001. On moving to the UK in 2002 he worked for a little over three and a half years in different hospitals in UK with experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has been at First Alba Healthcare’s Forfar practice since 2012 and, as well as providing general dentistry, has been First Alba’s vocational trainer since 2017 supervising a number of trainees. He has a particular interest in endodontics, cosmetic dentistry , prosthetics and oral surgery. Qais is married with two daughters, lives at Montrose and, outside of work, enjoys reading and sport.
